A new business standard: DL SOLUTION implements a 24/7 video surveillance system
The introduction of a 24/7 Video Surveillance System (VSS) for the tobacco industry in Ukraine marks a significant step towards enhancing transparency and efficiency in market regulation.
Currently, all market participants, including major players, are required to install round-the-clock video surveillance systems under Law No. 3817 and the Resolution of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, effective from December 27, 2024. These regulations mandate the implementation of video surveillance systems at enterprises engaged in the production, storage, and handling of tobacco products to ensure comprehensive control over goods.
By adopting such initiatives, the industry gains not only new tools for meeting legislative requirements but also opportunities for stable growth, increased competitiveness of the Ukrainian market, and a favorable environment for both national and international companies.
One of the first companies to implement this project was DL SOLUTION, a market leader in product supply. In full compliance with legislative requirements, the company introduced a 24/7 video surveillance system across all its warehouses in Ukraine.
The investment in the video surveillance system marks the largest capital expenditure in DL SOLUTION’s history. Over 300 high-resolution cameras were installed, providing round-the-clock monitoring of the company’s warehouses. These cameras are equipped with night vision functionality and are designed to operate under all external conditions, a critical feature in today’s environment.
The installed systems ensure video recording with data retention for at least 30 calendar days and allow authorized tax authority officials remote access to multimedia information, including live streaming and archived footage with options for data storage.
Despite the functional complexity and multi-layered structure of the project, it was completed in record time. This was achieved thanks to the coordinated efforts of the DL SOLUTION team, which handled all project planning, technical installations, assembly, and system configurations. Notably, one of the project’s stages included the installation of additional power supply systems to guarantee uninterrupted camera operation during power outages.
